NEC faculty Stratis Minakakis presents ALEA III in a concert of vocal music that engages musical dialogues. Orlando di Lasso’s two-part didactic motets from ‘Magnum Opus Musicum’, Salvatore Sciarrino’s brilliant shadow reflections on Gregorian chants in ‘Responsorio Delle Tenebre’, are presented alongside recently composed cutting-edge works for voice, instruments, and multimedia by Zesses Siglias, and NEC composers Nhyta Taguchi, Joshua Mastel, Tianyi Wang, Eden McAdam Somer, Bert Van Herck, and Stratis Minakakis. Join the musicians of ALEA III in a fascinating journey into the infinite possibilities of the most immediate and expressive means of musical expression, the human voice.
